The GreenFrags is the communication platform that creates the preconditions for the national eSports to manage the upcoming economical, political, social and cultural requirements in the best way for the recognition of eSports in the society, the representation towards policy and economy, the forthcoming growth and fair sportive challenge is what the GreenFrags stands for. The function of the GreenFrags is to work on the future of main on professional and then non-professional (competition oriented) eSports or cyber gaming in Pakistan. Despite the huge market potential and the growing relevancy in Pakistan, there are still no set structures that can handle the development and importance of the market in a satisfying way. The eSports community is very innovative and has a lot of social dedication. This has not been communicated sufficiently in the past, leading to a smaller acceptance in the public. To change this is the job of the GreenFrags.
Organizations and companies can support the GreenFrags in a cooperative or promotional way. The GreenFrags is not competing with the commercial providers in this sector but supporting their work also is not competing with any similar site of its kind as till now there is no such site which have been done such kind of work and we hope that there will be more similar sites but we are not here to compete we will work together as GreenFrags is founded to support eSports in Pakistan to standardized the structure etc.
2. Intention:
To support all varieties and types, to organize and coordinate the needed actions and to represent them towards the state and the public is the intention of the GreenFrags.

With that structures and rules will be created, not only for professional players but for the whole eSports community. The GreenFrag takes the role of the sport political and social representative of the players and teams in this case.
3.1. Objective “Public”:
The objective of promoting eSports is to establish it in the public perception. Creating clear structures is necessary to make eSports transparent and interesting to outsiders and to make it interesting for investors. eSports has become an important social and cultural instrument of the youth and because of that it needs to be recognized by the public, media and industry.
3.2. Objective “Rules”:
The GreenFrags suggests a general set of rules for the realization and execution of national and international tournaments and LAN events. It will only approve the ones that respect these. The introduction of transfer periods for players and the rule modifications coming with that is supported by the GreenFrags.

Definition “eSports”:
The term eSports (electronic sports) stands for the competitive playing of computer and videogames. eSports takes itself in the classic definition of sport and demands physical (hand-eye coordination, reaction speed) as well as tactical (game overview and understanding) skills. It is not a rarity anymore that players and teams play for money (pro-gaming). They are practicing and there are international leagues as well as national teams. Sometimes teams are even supported by coaches who are teaching them tactical understanding and techniques. Usually tournaments are played with first person shooters (FPS), real time strategy (RTS) games as well as sport and racing simulations.
Pro-gamers or eSport gamers are similar to real athletes in terms of practice and game behavior. Like them a pro-gamer has to practice constantly, study tactical behavior and learn new techniques. eSports are a technical driven and very complex sport. Pro-gamer needs to gain knowledge about the computer or console he works with in order to configure it so it satisfies his needs. A pro-gamer has to be able to understand the system requirements of a game and realize these.
The history of professional eSports of the World:
Professional events have grown dramatically since the first tournament in 1997. That tournament was hosted by the Cyberathlete Professional League, founded by Angel Munoz, and had a turnout of around 300 competitors for a single Quake tournament. Since then the attendance and size of the venues for these events has grown greatly and now thousands of spectators connect over the internet to watch the final matches. The prizes are also a lot larger; in 2005 the CPL will pay out a total of around $1,500,000 USD in prizes.
The most widely recognized professional tournaments are those run by the CPL, The World Cyber Games and The Electronic Sports World Cup. The prize money for these events is mostly provided by the large technology corporations who sponsor the events; these same companies also sponsor many of the teams. A team sponsorship usually includes travel expenses and whatever equipment the company produces.
It is now common place for mainstream news to cover these events in some way
eSports coverage.
As you would expect from games so heavily dependent on computers there is a lot of electronic sports coverage on the World Wide Web. ESports websites like www.GreenFrags.com generally focus on professional eSports tournaments and the top level amateur games, leaving the other games to be covered by the leagues themselves or smaller game-specific community websites if at all.
In South Korea electronic sports are very popular and events are regularly televised. The most popular games in South Korean eSports are the real-time strategy games StarCraft and Warcraft III. The South Korean scene is often cited as an example of popularized eSports by those who would like to see a similar level of popularity in the west. Most Western televised eSports coverage however, takes place through webcasts by stations like the Team Sportscast Network and Radio. In North America (and the World), GotFrag is the largest gaming community, news and eSports resource website. They provide full gaming coverage for several games, which include Counter-Strike, Quake 4, and Counter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2, Day of Defeat, Call of Duty, Painkiller and Warcraft 3. GreenFrag is planning to attend events in order to provide the best tournament and gaming coverage available on the net. We are in process to be the Official Media Partner of different Leagues. Although many of these eSports coverage sites include community interaction many of the large European sites such as SoGamed and ESReality have defined themselves with this approach, these were among the first sites in the electronic sports scene to utilize features such as community polls, submitted news, detailed profile pages for registered users. ESReality takes this approach to its extreme and almost completely runs on community submitted content.
In many countries, localized sites have also started to appear. Countries like the Netherlands, sites like Gamelux are setting the pace for local eSports coverage. Same in Pakistan we GreenFrags is proud to state that we are the 1st gaming portal of Pakistan and have came with the same idea behind but one step further which we already have mentioned, we hope that all will support us and together with all we will see the bright future of Pakistan Cyber gaming in Pakistan.
